Are special tools required for your rebuild?

No. Not with this kit. It comes with eleven special tools that are not shown in the thumbnail above. Flat-billed lock ring pliers is the only tool not provided with this kit, which you might not already own. However, these pliers can be usually found at your local auto parts store.
